I was thinking the same thing. High altitude monsters bribed with food, or coerced with magic to come down and fight with them. I can dig it.

We can do better than that -
Sometimes after a Berserker dies animals raid thier tomb before the soul leaves the body. The Berserker's soul then entred into the animal making it more sentient. This animal is capable of understanding simple commands and retains a kinship and protective attitude toward the tribe. In times of trouble small bands or individual Wendigo feel the call to come to the aid of their tribe and arrive on the battlefield to help.

Great fluff, Hal. The only problem is I think "Wendigo" may be property of Crocodile Games. 'May have to stick with Snow Trolls, or find another name for our purposes.

Yeti would work, so would Snow Troll, Snow Ape, Berserker Bear, Kodiak, Forebears, Guardian, Spirit Warrior. take your pick. Besides Fitz can't make a case for how he owns the name rights to a Native American Spirit Creature. That name is in a large number of American Indian legends. I don't think he is a chief of any of the tribes left in this country.

A wendigo is a mythical creature and cannot be owned any more than a bigfoot or nessie.

I didn't see it in the dictionary, so I was wondering. Thanks for the link. I don't know if these Snow Trolls are emaciated enough to fit the bill. I'm thinkin' they're more Yeti-like. Anyway, I've got a couple to put together and have more incentive now than ever.
