These are the first few models for a Crystal Lotus Elves army I'm painting for Joshua. Any feedback is welcome! :)
I should have the Dragonbane models and some of the regular troops up later today.

Nice-very chrystalline.
-
I play Helios, Jade, and Obsidian Serpent, mostly, but I may play these on occasion at my place. I'm a little closer to my goal of having every Chronopia army available for play en mi casa.
They look fantastic. Thanks for the preview.
-
Darn goog lookin minis.
-
Those are looking great, especially the Crystal Knights.
-
I'm painfully slow now at painting, and admittedly, there's no way I could deliver on this army like Brand X is doing. I need the "not worthy" bowing icon.
-
More WIP Pictures!
Sorry for the delay. It was an insane weekend over here! The bases haven't been finished yet and no free-hand/decals have been applied yet so be kind! :)
More to hopefully come tonight or tomorrow. The rest of the army should all be finished by tomorrow evening if everything goes smoothly. I will post more pics as soon as I can.

Fan-friggin-tastic. I totally love them, they look great. The colors are so vibrant, they are perfect as Crystal Lotus.
I am really reconsidering having you do some work for me.
-
Looks great!!!!
-
Here are some more pics to look at!
They haven't been fully based either. When they're finished, they will match the basing for the Firstborn that was previously painted.

I'm speechless.
-
Excellent paint job !!
-
The biggest compliment comes from Bryon when, in the first game with the Brand X Firstborn he said, "you got your money's worth."
This army looks even better so far. I like the way the Flying Dragonbane was mounted!! That really stands out.
The most incredible thing to me is how little instruction I gave to Thomas. I told him about the ice/crystalline and blue feel, and he just ran with it. Same thing with the Firstborn. Red, purple, Roman. Done.
Whoa.
-
Look Great very well done.
-
They'll be at Talamania!! I can finally write up a card for the Flying Dragonbane. I've had it assembled for a long time, but never attached to the base. I'm glad they hooked it up as well as they did; now it's a viable model in the cabinet, instead of a half assembled model of shame. :-[
-
Simply excellent looking figures, great job. It's also nice to see a painted unit of the Cyclopes Forge figures.
-
This army has actually been a lot of fun to paint so far. We're almost done! We're just finishing up some of the figures and then on to all the basing. Finished pictures should be up today. I'll see about getting them put up here...

For those contemplating Francesco's Lotus proxies, they are resin, and a little bit smaller than the old Target models, but the sculpts are nice. I bought 2 three packs, and had Brand X put an extra standard on one of them. I'll have to find the pose that is going to be my leader for this unit. It's nice to have them all together.
I've promised some friends they have first play with this army against me.
CONNERY VOICE: "Beautifullly painted army, pity I'll have to destroy it."
-
The army is finally finished. I removed the WIP pictures and have posted some new pics below.

I really appreciate all the kind words from everyone! Thanks guys!

Awesome!!!!!! I might just have to strip an army just to have u paint and base them. Excellent job!!
-
Now, pekulior, please PM me to get the updated Shipping Address as Johsua just moved ;)
-
@ Glenn M - Tempting, but I think Joshua would probably be rather upset about that! ;)
@ PhillySniper - Why would you need to strip them??? We can do that too! :D
Thanks for all the kind words everyone!

-
How about a group photo of the entire army so I can drool all over my desk! :D
-
Just awsome. Thats all I can say.
-
Coming from you Glenn, that's the biggest compliment Brand X could receive. Your work is very good Glenn, and if I were Chaotic Evil, I'd shank you for your collection!!
In all honesty I'm happy the forum approves, as it's the forum who will eventually, one day, get to push these models across a table at Talamania, or mi casa.
This army is played primarily by two close friends of mine, and I think all will be happy to see this incredible army.
I'm havin' a moment here.
-
I demand to see pictures and a full battle report when your FB and CL face each other at Talamania.
-
I told Thomas that I would make that happen. Nothing could beat seeing these two painted armies in an actual game for their gallery, and ours!!
Now Coil, if you just buy the plane ticket, you can play these guys!!
I remember him playing them unpainted, with some that I've painted, last year at Talamania. Sigh. The money was spent last year on the tables, so this year it's painted armies. Sorry Andreas. ::)
Thomas tells me they're seeing some Warzone models come in. I'm happy that this has been such a symbiotic relationship. Brand X are exceedingly professional, and they are gamers too. Word of mouth like this is the best advertising there is; you can't beat seeing the work they do from someone you actually know.
-
These are awesome!!! They do a great job. Can't wait to see them fielded.
-
Here's a quick group photo of the army.

If my count is right, That's seven squads, seven individuals!! I haven't even run the numbers yet!! Must-schedule-big-battle-upon-arrival!!
-
Looking in Armybuilder it looks like you have about 2200 pts there not including banners and spells.
-
That's playable!! It's very rare to get to play a big battle lately. They're mailing them to me today. Keep your fingers crossed they make it safely to the next bloodbath.
-
Must...wipe...drool...off...desk...but...figures...too...coool!
-
I am green with envy. No one is going to want to bring their own Chronopia, so they can play with your cool looking toys. :D
-
How ironic would that be? A bunch of grown men in a puch-up over some toy soldiers lands three in the hospital and destroys all the models.
I can see the headlines now. ;)
On a serious note: that's why they'll be there. Poor Andreas played Crystal Lotus last year, and they didn't look like this!!
-

I did the same. I have 2100 without Banners and Spells.
Axemen
Swordsman
Dreamwarriors
Militia
Spearmen
Dragonbane Warkiller
Dragonbane Knight
Dragonbane Scout
Dragonbane Skyrider
Crystal Knight
Crystal Knight
Lotus Eater
7 Individuals, 6 Warbands unless the Scout is counted solely as an Archer Warband. :)
-
Did'ja remember the Lotus Guard? Gotta remember them!!

Not pictured in the army shot.
I did notices I forgot the Archers in my list. :(
-
Funny, that. The lotus guard are on the top deck, to the right. They are Francescon's sculpts.

Hmmm....
I R blind. I see them now.
-
You're still sharper than me, John. :)

Bah!
If I was so sharp, I would not have missed them... :)
-
The box just arrived at the office, but I'm too nervous to even open it. It's pouring outside too, so I may bring'em back home tomorrow. At least they're on time for the event.
-
OK. I'm not a Chronopia guy. But that superbly painted army made me want to try it out! Godly painting man.
-
They turned out better than I could have hoped, but now the money is tight, and Brand X will have to wait for the next shipment, and it will be considerably smaller.
One thing I can say about using the paint service is that I've gotten two playable armies, and it's fired up my own painting to try and finish off three of my own armies. Win/win, if ya ask me.
