OK here's an idea for one of you enterprising folks out there.
How about making some generic shoulder pads in various shapes, square & blocky, rounded, etc. Provide some deep recesses to the undersides of them, so that they can be mounted on most other 28mm humanoid figures without major cutting and green-stuff. Cast up a bunch and sell them as conversion parts.
One could say take a bunch of the square and blocky types and put them on Void 1.1 Viridian Marines, paint some eagles on them and all of a sudden have a set of figures that look perfect in a Capitol army, and make some damn fine Freedom Brigadiers.
Same could be done with other models and shoulder pad combinations.
One could go another step further and make some alternate heads with gas masks and perhaps some alternate helmets. Make the lower head without a helmet and sell various styled helmets that could fit on top.
