I've found that when taking photos, always turn off the flash. Also, get a tripod, or brace the camera on a solid surface. Without the flash, the camera will select a highter shutter speed, so a stable camera is absolutely necessary.
In summary: Flash bad! Stable Good!
Keep messing around, and you'll get it sooner or later.
Only took me a few hundred photos to get it right :P

Yeah the flash is bright, but you got it right in the work bench, looks exelent now, everyone check it out in the work bench post, looks alot better!!!

Yup a hundred pictures is right MadBrad got it fixed up and working better in the dark because with this camera even without the flash its too dark of a picture even in the day.So with the flash on in the dark i get better pictures.

I made a background for my pics based off of some light blue poster board and foam core for a back; that makes up for the lack of a flash. I also now take pictures of mine before I seal them; that also helps. You can definitely tell a difference in the pictures if you go back and look at my old posts.
