Title: Mini Battle Report
Post by: mlnunn on October 06, 2007, 05:30:18 AM
We were going to be missing one of our regular players for the first part of the night so we decided to fill the time with a Chronopia battle...

The Drow and The Undead vs The Firstborn and the Unwashed... er Blackbloods. (The Drow are just Elf useing Drow Minis)

The small unit of Devout and Drow have uncovered an ancient relic of power.  It is a very fragile crystal power stone.  They are guarding it until a powerful wizard arrives to safely move it a Devout temple.

The Firstborn and the Orcs relize this is a bad thing and attempt to destroy the crystal before that can happen.  An uneasy temporary alliance is forged and battle looms on the horizon.

This is a small scale skirmish, with the following guidelines:

1.  You may not have more than 1/2 your total force in archers of any type.  Meaning no more than 1/2 models on each side may have a bow.

2.  You may have 3 warriors in a War band for each "leader" or upgraded figure,  Even if that unit mormally needs 4.

3. Total force strength for the battle is 250 points per side. Meaning each player has a force of 125 points.

We play until powerful wizard Dale arrives or one side wins by killing or routing the other side.

It was short and eventful skrimish, the Firstblood and Blackblood closed from one side and were held up by a token force of Devout, and were very surprised to find out the Devout had a Spellcaster who decimated the ranks with a Tempest spell.  The Elf Swordsmen moved in a took on the surviving Firstborn Swordsmen, while the Goblin Archers fired random arrows at, apparently, no particular target.

Fate was against the Firstblood - Blackblood alliance, they could not hit anything, could not make an armor roll and got smacked down, it looked like the Devout-Drow were going to win by killing everyone, when the Wizard arrived assuring victory.

thats a lot of players!!!  You guys should have an in house tourney.  Think about using the "deathmatch' rules om Coki's site.  You don't need as many minis and games are quicker.

I here you about getting a campaign going.  We only play about 8-12 times a year!!!  We will eventually get one going, but are happy just to get to play at the moment.
