Title: Konrad Von Juntz
Post by: wmeredith on April 27, 2007, 02:02:58 PM
Hello.

My painting skills have gone to the dogs of late simply because I don't paint as often as I did. But I did at long last finally finish this guy.

Not my best but better than what I have been doing.

Hello

Probably but he is in on the finished list. I was going for usable and that is what I got. He is sealed with two coats of gloss and two coats of matt coat. Like I said he isn't my best but he is still better than some I have done.

He is sealed with two coats of gloss and two coats of matt coat.
i can see that..

why did you do that? 4! coats...

that really is not necessary. max 2 coats of relatively thin sprayed puity seal (or the like) will be enough. it does not even have to look wett..

the dragon is just washed a little with black ink (wings, head..) it gives an enourmouth contrast and deph by increasing the work very few. use a japanese bursh and ad and remove ink with it. its easy quick and effective

Hello.

The 4 coats are recommended by quite a few painters I know. They recommended 4 thin layers of sealent. two thin layers of gloss with two thin layers of matt. It seals and protects best in there opinion.

Nice paintjob on the dragon! Is the model for GW's Warhammer Fantasy?

@wmeredith-- Looks good.  I wouldn't be ashamed to put him on the table.

@Aldrien-- Very nice dragons.  If I get a chance to come to Germany we have to party!!! ;D
