Hmmm....  This should prove interesting a match.  Alot of Firepower in the Haus list.  Bryon, if he does not, I'm willing to tangle with you... and I can do it with a Bauhaus list too (one I rarely get to use).

Hello.

As you may know the elite forces of Bauhaus come equiped with the best equipment available, our CAN OPENERS are unmatched. You know this will be good on ST Patricks day I understand hydrolic fluid is greenish in color. Much will flow.

Internal monologue voice 1:  Why do I have the feeling I'll be using the Machine a bunch this weekend?
Voice two:  Pretenders to the throne... and lots of wanna-bes.
voice one:  It's not a *bad* list at 750.
voice two:  It so needs help... or a direction.
voice one:   It's all AI.
voice two: yes... but there are no Cyborgs...  There has to be Cyborgs!!
voice one:  Oh will you shut up.  You;ll get your chance today...
Voice two:  Yeeessss... I will, won't I?

Well Archer with two voices arguing in your head you should win at least one battle today  ;D

Although the smart money in Vegas is that the two voices will agree to disagree and the best you will do is a tie  :o

Heh...

Won the Warzone game.  Lost the two Chrono games...  versus Devout and versus Dwarves.  Won the poker game afterward though... so you were rather prophetic.

Hello.

I can say it was a good day of gaming even if I couldn't get past my own deployment mistakes. Next time I should have some chronopia with me.

Hey... 10 Ashigarus in one squard? Wow...  My experience tells me use smallest squards as possible. Low cost grunts opens range for heavy support units, vehicles etc.  My Algeroth+Horde 1200pt have 6 grunts and two elite. But have 3 supporting Razides and 2 nefarites...

this is very true.

This the rule of thumb I go by for sqaud sizes:

if the model is halfway good I go with squads between 6-8 men.
less then 6 I find squad a little lacking in raw firepower plus its hurting in its ability to stand up to incoming fire and fire back.

if the model kinda sucks (undead or Ashigarus) I'll go with 7-10 men, though rarely do I go with more then 8
I find if a squad is 8 or more its squad mates start to get each others way.

It`s no bad idea, but I betting on activations count and para-deploy in open terrain. Paratroopers are deployed to oponent`s back at end of first or second turn (my 1200pt army have 4 neronian legionaires with golem and one squard of 2 pretorian stalkers and third is 2 pretorian stalkers with enforcer). They make busy enemy troops about 2-3 turns and my small grunts (3 squards of 4 necrotyrants and 2 squards of 4 necromutants + tormentor FT) and support razides and nefarites have clear and quite way more closely to enemy...
With more activations than oponent you can first activate not engaged or at moment not important units, oponent finish his last activation and you can have about 4-5 not activated units, then is time for razides and nefarites  to make their devastation job with apocalypses and nazgaroth bullets.

but all the small sqads will do only minimal damage when activated.

a bigger group may indeed be better.. if they wipe out an unactivated 4 man mini sqad, it will also kill an activation..

-> need more games..

thats all right, but support-built system give right to komplikator... when i use 8 faceless in two squads and 2 ronin battle walkers as support, is better than 10-11 ashigaru+leader.....

yes... a good point and a further hint that we play it right (houserule): 1 support / 2 units..

fro me woul be ideal give supports for specific amount of standard models... for example 1 behemoth to 500 points in grunt/elite squads, 1 ronin walker to 200 points in grunt/elite squads, hunting dragons to 100 points in grunt/elite squads etc.
