Title: Soul Reavers
Post by: Dragon62 on January 19, 2007, 01:02:03 PM
The Soul Reavers for Semai are a Support Choice. They have Stalk. Do you only use 1 stalk marker or if i have a squad of 3 do i use 3 markers. And if it's 3 markers and only 1 attacks are the other 2 unseen.

These are questions that the FAQ team is currently mulling over.  We had some consensus but then we hit the holidays.  I imagine we'll get an answer to you on this soon.

The picture in the book of the model your talking about looks like 1 of the old Nepherites.

I'm using a Doomsday Proclaimer and converting it to by removing the guns and adding an axe and a jawless skull

Do we have an official answer to weather the squad acts as individuals or as one, as far as stalking?

That raises an interesting question about the Soul Reavers; I thought they were just cult reavers that were, well, pale I guess.  Which figures were then designated as actual Soul Reavers (I'd look it up on my electronic copy of the rules by my laptop went to the great gigabyte in the sky-still dealing with the emotional impact of what that means in the way of lost data).

The Soul Reavers for Semai are a Support Choice. They have Stalk. Do you only use 1 stalk marker or if i have a squad of 3 do i use 3 markers. And if it's 3 markers and only 1 attacks are the other 2 unseen.

Like any other Special Ability possessed by an entire squad, therefore, any Action applies to the entire squad.  One "marker" is used to represent the squad.  If one is in Stalk mode, the entire squad is in Stalk mode.  If one is Spotted, the entire squad is Spotted (they do not possess Form Fireteam).  If one re-enters Stalk, the entire squad must be able to re-enter Stalk, otherwise, the entire squad remains Spotted.

This rule will be further discussed by the FAQ Team, perhaps to add Form Fireteam to this unit.  Until such a time as the rule is changed, please, play it as written.
