At the suggestion of Von Koss, I've added a section in General Discussions to talk about other games we play, and post any pics you have of painted models that are not Chronopia/Warzone.

Every member of this forum is a hopeless miniatures/gaming addict, and I hope we can all recover in group.  Is that wrong?Huh

Recovery is for quitters!

Is Thom okay with us using his forum to discuss other games?

He may chastise me later, as I went off reservation on this one and set up the board before I could ask him!!

It's a child board so I can post pics of painted CAVs, Spinespur models, etc., Hal can post a Necromunda battle report from Origins or the like, and Von Koss had expressed a desire to post painting of other models he's done, including historicals.

Since this forum is really our clubhouse, and is primarily devoted to Thom's games which have brought us together, I felt it time to have a section to post about other games we play.

Dave, feel free to post a report of Silent Death, as I know you and Dodge run that like crazy.

Thom plays boardgames, and plenty of other stuff, so I don't feel he'll be excluded from the fun.

Great!  Now I'll see all the painted goodness you guys have and transfer my procrastinator's guilt from WZ to practically all minis games!   Undecided

Seriously, that's a great idea.  Maybe it will spur me on to finish my many projects:  Uncharted Seas (Iron Dwarves and Dragon Lords), Stargrunt (using WZ, WH40K and other various minis), Full Thrust (using just about every mythos of ship you'd imagine), Dirtside (rebasing and statting the clix MechWarrior stuff), SuperSystem (rebasing HeroClix) and GASLIGHT (some rebasing of Hero and HorrorClix as well as painting other, various minis).

Hey guys and gals!

I just wanted to explain to everyone the reason for the suggestion in having this side topic for the Forum.

I came here looking for inspiration, modeling/painting tips, and just a general feeling that our beloved Chronopia/Warzone games were still alive and kicking.  Although I prowl other forum boards in this quest for new ideas and mini goodness, I find that this board is more friendly, helpful, and open to helping the newer members.  I really like it here and I want others to like it as well.

Having a side topic for other games would (in my opinion) allow viewers/newer members to drift in and get exposed to Chronopia/Warzone.  Not to mention that we could see other hobby goodness that has evaded our attentions.  I have heard all sorts of games being mentioned on this Forum and now we would have a place to discuss and show others what they are all about.

On a separate and personal note...I feel bad for not staying current with my Chronopia project log but sometimes I've gotta stretch my legs and paint/model something different.  I could just join the appropriate Forum board or even start my own blog to show what I've been up to, but that would not support this Forum or the Chronopia/Warzone hobby...only me as an individual.  That is not why I came here.

Well anyway that's just my two cents on the matter and I hope you all will jump in and take the opportunity to show us something new.  It can only make the Forum a more interesting place.

I am not trying to be a kill-joy.  I am merely looking out for our bud. Grin

I agree with Dave on this. This is Thoms and Lances forum and they should be asked before adding something new to their forum.
